A campaign to motivate the inhabitants of Amsterdam to raise their voices against discrimination.

Challenge

The city of Amsterdam is a place with a lot of diversity. Unfortunately, its inhabitants sometimes face discrimination. To combat this issue, it’s important for the people of Amsterdam (Amsterdammers) to raise their voices within the city and stand up for their fellow Amsterdammers.

Community insights

Amsterdam is a city where every neighbourhood has its own frontrunners—individuals with a strong local presence and voice, capable of influencing the behaviour of their fellow Amsterdammers.

Campaign idea

We created a campaign in which we gave the local heroes a voice. We developed several campaign videos in which the local heroes shared their views on the city, its diversity, and the importance of raising your voice when encountering situations in which people discriminate. The campaign was launched on social media and in local cinemas.

In Gesprek

A campaign to create a conversation between parents and children about sexuality in the digital age.

Challenge

Qpido and the Municipality of Amsterdam wanted to support parents in their conversations with their children about sexuality in the digital era.

Community insights

The conversation parents need to have with their children is not a single conversation but an ongoing dialogue. Furthermore we face cultural and generational differences in how parents approach these conversations with their children.

Campaign idea

For this campaign, we launched various videos in which parents shared their experiences of having these conversations with their children. The videos included a call to action to a campaign website where practical tips were shared to help parents initiate the conversation. The campaign was promoted through Instagram, Google, and offline through out-of-home placements, community centers, municipality offices, and care centers across the city.

HPV Vaccine invitation

A campaign to create awareness for the HPV vaccine.

Challenge

The municipality of Amsterdam offered people between 19 and 26 years old the opportunity to receive a free HPV vaccine. This vaccine protects against six types of cancer. We were asked to create a campaign inviting people to get vaccinated.

Community insights

Young people listen to their peers, especially when it comes to reasons for getting something like a vaccine.

Campaign idea

In the campaign, we asked age peers why they would get an HPV vaccine, particularly during this vaccination program. Various reasons were highlighted.
